A poem should be soundless as the flight of birds...A poem should be equal to not true....A poem should not mean but be.

Life a mirage

| |

I am in the middle of a desert,
Miles and miles of sand,
No life, only cactus on this desert,
I walk for a while
Tired, fighting  my body
My eyes barely opening
“Oh! I see oasis a few yards away
Run and quench your thirst
Move your feet faster”
I prayed  hard to reach there
But I found  no water
Mirage of my emotions
Betrayed me
But my hope
Would not give up
Mirage, You evoked
Me to move further
Further indeed I moved
Until I found the well
Mirage you have led the weak me
Away from the desert.
